You will learn to build a very complete financial model from scratch, with hypotheses, projections, valuation and presentation of graphs, always using the best practices in the industry
We will analyze together how much cash this business should generate according to its business plan, what is its break even, etc.

DETAILS OF THE COURSE

Our intention is that at the end of this course you can:

  • Understand the key terms and definitions of start ups / e-commerce used in the industry
  • Understand the e-commerce industry, the most common business models, players, etc.
  • Knowing Introduce the key hypotheses in a financial model
  • Calculate the number of orders and the customer base that will be used to project the revenues
  • Prepare the three financial statements (profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow) based on the business plan
  • Perform cash flow discount and business DCF valuation
  • Generate relevant graphics to illustrate cash flow, key metrics and the overall investment opportunity
  • Learn basic operational tools for:
    • Know your company better
    • Learn to negotiate how to ask for funds
    • Find support for decision making
    • Control your finances

In the course we will include financial model templates of E Commerce that you can apply to different sectors and that you can download for your own use. Each business is unique and you can adjust the design, but the important thing is that you have acquired the necessary modeling skills to work on any business.

Jordi Vidal

Jordi Vidal is an investment manager at Kibo Ventures and focuses on the evaluation of new investment opportunities, the execution of live offers and the support of companies in the Kibo portfolio. Before joining Kibo, he accumulated operational experience at Deliberry, a grocery delivery company based in Barcelona, where he was responsible for the creation of operations, processes and logistics.
Prior to that, Jordi was a consultant at Odgers Berndtson Management Consultants, where he had the opportunity to work in many industries, such as retail, energy, medical care, air transport and electronic commerce. He also worked at KPMG as a management consultant and at Everis as a capital market analyst.
Jordi has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
